Meadowview is a delightful self-catering holiday cottage situated in the Scottish Borders

Meadowview Cottage is a delightful self catering country cottage set in the stunning countryside of rural Berwickshire in Scotland. Warm and cosy, it was built in the early 19th century as farm cottages. It is constructed from beautiful local golden sandstone, and has tremendous views of the Lammermuir hills in the distance. The front of the the cottage is listed due to its unusual architectural features. The cottage is deceptively spacious and well-equipped. It is comfortably furnished and able to sleep up to 5. The nearest Town is Duns 4 miles, Berwick upon Tweed 15 miles & Edinburgh is 45 miles to the North. To the North are the Lammermuir Hills (which can be seen from the rear of the cottage and are shown in the photo above right). South is the Tweed Valley; and beyond the Cheviot Hills in the Northumberland National Park. To the East is the spectacular coastline with St Abbs, Berwick upon Tweed and Eyemouth; and to the West the Eildon Hills. Meadowview is centrally located making access to these areas easy.

Berwickshire is a rural secret, with beautiful unspoilt countryside. It's rolling farmland, magnificent views, moorland, meandering river valleys and coastline with spectacular cliffs and extensive sandy beaches offer a unique mix. There is little traffic, and the area offers attractive towns, villages, castles and historic houses.
